• Rev. Steve lyle

    The Rev. Steven Lyle has been a United Methodist Church pastor for 38 years and has served as lead pastor at several churches including Dalton First UMC, Mt. Zion UMC in East Cobb, and Smyrna FUMC. He graduated from Georgia Southern University with a B.S. degree in Psychology and then received a Master’s of Divinity degree from the Candler School of Theology at Emory. Prior to attending Emory, Rev. Lyle served full time as staff member for the Campus Crusade for Christ ministry at the University of South Florida.  Rev. Lyle was the founding pastor of the Trinity UMC here in Cartersville which began ministering in 1983 and has returned as lead pastor for the Trinity at the Well UMC.


    Pastor Jacob Burson grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia at Lawrenceville First UMC. After high school he joined the Air Force, while enlisted he completed a B.S. Degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and this led him to pursue a career in engineering at Lockheed Martin. In 2007 he was part of the core team who planted Church at The Well. During his time there he became lay leader and slowly began to pursue God's call on his life. 

    In 2018 he left Lockheed Martin to become the Growth Director at Orphan Aid, Liberia. While working at OAL, he began the process of becoming a licensed local pastor in the UMC. In June of 2019 he was appointed as the lead pastor of Emerson UMC in Emerson, GA. Jacob is the lead pastor of Emerson UMC and leads Trinity at the Well as the Community Engagement Pastor and leading the contemporary worship service.
